Stallion Takeover Show

February 8th, 2020.

Our horses have been groomed to perfection and all their necessities packed up hours ago. Could it be that we organized ourselves better for the first big show of the season? The big white horse truck pulled over by the entrance of the stable. I opened its doors and got a sniff of the fresh shavings that our grooms already laid out inside for the six stallions that were about to be loaded on. We were not heading far away, but as usual, we must bring the maximum allowed number of horses to a show so things get pretty busy pretty quick.
The competition went well, even though we had a few youngsters with us that kept us on our toes when faced with an arena surrounded by unfamiliar horses. They were all bright eyed, alert and ready for "take off". We brought RFE Kristyan, RFE Radenskyar II, Caramelo I de Xantre, Da Hussler REC and Dawn's Drive By. We got many good compliments on the conformations and appearances of our stallions, but only one horse was exceptional enough to wow them and it was our 5-year-old homebred Irish Draught Radenskyar II! Our fella ended up winning the Warmblood Stallion division and he now has the "Warmblood Stallion of 2020" title!
It is always nice to have a winning horse but it's even nicer when it's one you have bred yourself! We drove back home with a big, big smile on our face!

Palm Tree Jumping Clinic

Rotherford show jumpers are preparing for a busy competition season ahead, so they decided to participate in a big jumping clinic organized by Equus Sims. Six of our riders went, with their six horses that they are preparing for the outdoor shows. The hosts did an amazing job at keeping the atmosphere at a high level and some of our riders reported back saying that they learned a new skill to use in their show jumping "tool belt"! As it was a clinic there were no placements or ranks, but we have some photos that I am going to share with you below!
