ABOUT US
The Estate was founded in October 2011; it has grown from a small backyard stable of two to three horses to a big horse competition facility. Nowadays we are specializing in showing and competing
horses in various sim equestrian communities. Our top platforms for competing and posting updates are Instagram and Equiality Sims, so make sure you give Rotherford Estate a follow and join the Discord!
Rotherford's main priority are its Irish Draught and Irish Sport Horse equines, but a team of over 25 employees takes care of many different breeds under our roof. Our top strength lies in the English disciplines such as dressage and show jumping,
but our riders occasionally venture into other disciplines such as combined driving, endurance and some western disciplines.
Nowadays we are focusing our stable on development of superb equine athletes.
We are actively accepting working students for grooming, stablework and occasionally riding positions over the whole year to help out our team. Feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries.
OUR STATUS IN THE COMMUNITY
- co-founders, vice presidents, registrars and judges in The Irish Draught Horse Society on Equiality Sims
- ambassadors of the Irish Draught breed
- we were in charge of the official Equus Sims Grade Horse Association, until the beginning of ES 2.5 (December 2015)
- hosts of the prestigious "Aherne Marwin" stallion show series, and various other competitions like the Ardorwen Jumping Cup and Ardorwen Dressage Cup
- took the Belgian Warmblood registry (during the old Equus, in 2012) under our wing, after the stable that originally hosted the registry shut down, now the Belgian Warmblood is handled by Equus-Sims Warmblood Association
- we hosted the Unicorn registry - RFE Divinae Unicornis
- first active Unicorn breeders and promoters, first ones to compete with a Unicorn in a community competition
- founded on 19th of October 2011, one of the first stables in the community
